An evening sequence for slowing down

THE STORY

Rest is not always an immediate switch from activity to sleep. The body responds to cues, repetition and familiar routines. For centuries, evening rituals have used warm drinks, bathing, massage and fragrance to create a gradual transition from the activity of the day towards rest.

THE RITUAL

Begin with Chamomile Tea. Move into a warm bath with Epsom Bath Salt, followed by slow massage with the Kansa Vatki. Finish with Pillow Mist — creating a familiar sensory cue that signals the end of the day.

The Night Ritual is designed around the idea that rest is a transition, not a switch. The sequence moves gradually from nourishment to warmth, touch and familiar fragrance.

01 · BEGIN WITH TEA
Prepare the Chamomile Tea and drink it slowly as the first step of your evening ritual. Step away from screens and other stimulating activity while you drink.

The warmth, aroma and repetition of the ritual help create a familiar boundary between the active part of the day and the evening.

02 · MOVE INTO WATER
Add Epsom Bath Salt to a warm bath and allow yourself time to soak. A warm bath can become a useful transition ritual because it changes both the physical environment and the pace of activity.

03 · RETURN TO TOUCH
After the bath, use the Kansa Vatki with a small amount of suitable oil for slow foot or facial massage. Keep the movements deliberate rather than functional. Traditional oil massage practices place emphasis on rhythm, touch and attention to the body.

04 · CREATE A SCENT CUE
Mist the Pillow Mist lightly over your pillow or linens. A repeated scent can become part of a familiar bedtime association when used consistently.

05 · CLOSE THE DAY
Move into bed without adding another task to the sequence. The ritual is complete.

The aim is not to force sleep, but to reduce the momentum of the day and create repeated cues that signal a change of state.

THE INTENTION
To move gradually through warmth → slowing down → touch → familiar scent → rest.
